For sale set of four original Ercol Windsor Swan Back Chair (model no: 1876) in Golden Dawn colour. Please note I have got 10 chairs available in total the price is for a set of 4.

This iconic piece was designed by Lucian Ercolani and manufactured in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire and is now back in fashion (keenly collected and highly regarded). Ercol furniture is synonymous with good design, quality materials and craftsmanship and is built for longevity. This is a real eye catching piece of vintage retro furniture which is currently back in production and sale.

Each chair has a solid English elm seat with beech backs, spindles and legs. The seats are showing some lovely complex elm grain. Tall arched back consists of 4 spindles and a pierced centre splat which features the extremely popular swan design. The swan motif is an homage to the town of High Wycombe, popularly known as the furniture capital of Britain. The well constructed solid elm seats are inset beneath with angled tapering legs which provide perfect support, and matching H pattern stretchers help to bolster the chairs structural rigidity. Original Ercol label is still attached.

The chairs are in excellent (original) vintage condition with some minor marks commensurate with age and use. They are free of any damage, repairs or wear to joints. The chairs are sturdy with no loose joints or spindles and no separation to the elm seat. They have been cleaned and waxed.
