Mocha

Hello,
I kindly ask that only serious and genuinely caring people read this.

This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write. I’m looking for a loving, permanent home for my sweet cat, Mocha. He has a large part of the Maine Coon breed in him, and his heart is even bigger. I’ve lived with him for almost a year and a half — he’s been my best friend, my comfort in the quietest nights, and my warm hug when loneliness felt too heavy. He’s the kind of cat who melts into your arms and holds on as if to say, “I’m here for you.”

The truth is, I never wanted to be in this position. For personal and emotional reasons, I had kept Mocha a secret from my landlady. The only person who knew was my flatmate — someone I trusted deeply. She promised me she would look after him for the month I’d be away visiting my home country. But on the very night I left, she betrayed me, reporting him to our landlady for reasons that can only be described as immature. It was a painful stab in the back that left me in an extremely difficult and humiliating situation. Now, I’m forced to face the reality that Mocha can no longer stay with me.

I will be back in Glasgow soon and will personally hand him over to his new family. I live in the West End and hope to find someone nearby who will want him not for a short while, but for life.

Mocha is calm, neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped (ready to be updated with the new owner’s details).

Please, only reach out if you can offer him the love, stability, and kindness he deserves. He did nothing wrong. He deserves a safe home, warm arms, and someone who will never let him go.
