Waking Night-Time Carer/ Personal Assistant (Private Care Role)

📍 Location: Northwest London, Mill Hill, NW7

We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Waking Night-Time Carer/Personal Assistant to join our dedicated team of carers providing private, in-home care and support for a mother and daughter living with complex health needs.

I am a 44-year-old woman with a diagnosis of Motor Neurone Disease (MND), and my daughter is 18 and has a diagnosis of cerebral palsy.

Our household is supported by a close-knit team of eight carers, and we are now seeking additional support during the evening and night.

📍 Location: Northwest London, Mill Hill, NW7

🕒 Shift Hours:

Weekdays: 7:00 PM – 6:30 AM (main carer)

Saturday:10 PM - 7 AM

8.30PM to 12/12.30 AM (second carer)

📅 Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and

Saturday: 10 PM - 7 AM

Weekday and weekend day shifts available as a when needed for those interested.

Pay Rate: depending on experience and choice of employment

Key Responsibilities:

• Helping with evening routine

• Providing overnight care, including hoisting and personal care

• Monitoring throughout the night and responding to any needs

• Supporting safe repositioning

• Ensuring a calm, safe, and supportive night-time environment etc

Ideally, the carer will have experience in the below however full training can be given to the right person:

• Experience in complex care, including use of hoisting equipment

• Confident in providing all aspects of personal care

• Calm, patient, proactive and compassionate in nature

• Reliable and able to work independently

• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

Applicants must have the right to work in the UK either as PAYE or be registered self-employed with a valid UTR.

I do not offer cash-in-hand payments.

The successful candidate will be subject to an enhance DBS.
