2 X 12HR DAY SHIFTS AVAILABLE FOR EXPERIENCED FEMALE PRIVATE

I am a severely disabled woman living with Motor Neurone Disease and I am looking for an energetic, experienced female care worker to join my care team 2 x 12 hour day shifts per week To assist my other carers. (there is a possibility for extra hours to cover absences if you prove that you can do the job)

I need help everything, showering, washing, dressing, feeding, hoisting on and off the toilet/wheelchair/bed and general input during the day to help me to do my activities. I am extremely speech impaired and use an Eyegaze device to communicate with and write emails etc. I need people who can read my body language and this can be learned in time. Must be able to take direction!

Experience is necessary, especially with hoisting and general moving and handling because I cannot speak to tell you what to do, you must have experience of how to care for someone in a wheelchair. Full training will be given by my other carers.

I also like to go out and a clean driving license, registered in the UK, would be essential, also experience of driving in the UK. I have an accessible vehicle, experience of driving a largish vehicle is preferable. You might be asked to accompany me on occasional holidays. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU CAN NOT DRIVE.

Pay is up to £22 an hour £264 a shift, depending on experience, and is paid monthly by PAYE. Pay will include holidays pro rata. I have a small dog that likes to be walked and the position is non smoking. Please send your CV and a recent photo.
