Description
Golf Mk5 140 Diesel Rebuilt Gearbox, LUK Dual Mass + Clutch All covered 2,421 Miles.
As per the title, I have a 6-speed gearbox from my wife’s Mk5 VW Golf (2.0 140ps BKD engine code) which was rebuilt by Strathclyde Gearbox Services (new bearings throughout, new VW synchro’s and baulk rings, replaced the sun & planet gears). At the time of the gearbox rebuild, the dual mass was replaced (LUK) and a full LUK clutch kit was replaced when it was all out.
The dual mass was around £350, the clutch kit (3 piece) was about £250, and the gearbox rebuild was £380 and was filled with genuine VW gear oil.
Since rebuild, the car had covered 2,421 miles and then it developed an electrical fault with the immobiliser, so the car sat and was replaced, so these items were removed when it was broken for parts.
I’ve kept the gearbox in my garage for over a year, but it’s not going to be used, hence the sale.
This should fit all of the 140hp diesel Mk5 Golf’s, Jetta’s, Audi A3’s, Seat Leon's, Skoda Octavia’s etc etc.
Could also be used to convert a Caddy to 6 speed.
Will come as pictured with gearbox, LUK clutch kit, the LUK dual mass flywheel, both driveshafts (had outer CV boots replaced at the same time as the gearbox was away to be rebuilt), there is also the short intermediate driveshaft (pictured) and the starter motor.
Collection only from East Kilbride.
