a Fiat Scudo Van (2000)
And a LDV Pilot

Maximum height from van gutter to top of side plate where angle starts is 6-1/4 inches - 16cm (See Photos)

If your clever with metalwork you could easily make 4 plates to raise the height for higher roof vans etc.
