Description

We are selling our 2011, manual, electric green, VW Caddy camper as we can no longer make good use of it due to a growing family. A great little van, it can comfortably sleep 2 and makes a great stealth camper with its small size allowing it to fit into a lot of places. This van has been kept in great condition (95425 km/59295 miles), has been serviced annually and the MOT is valid until January 2026. We have the full service history for the vehicle and all the original German documentation including the Certificate of Conformity. Timing belt was changed in July 2019 and more recently the van has had a new fuel pump, a new fan relay and new battery. We have had issues with an unknown battery drain. This was sorted by fitting an immobiliser to the vehicle, disconnecting the battery whenever the van is parked for longer than a day.

It is a left hand drive, German import, brought to the UK and registered in 2022. Alterations have been made to the vehicle to comply with British roads including new headlights, a combined speedometer reading both MPH and KMPH and the fog light moved to the right. The sale of the vehicle includes the original headlights for driving on the right. The van is also petrol so there are, at present, no charges for driving it into any Clean Air Zone (CAZ) or the London Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ). Additionally, the van will not be subject to the diesel restrictions found in some European cities.

We put the interior together ourselves. The van has been sound dampened, the interior is all wood and screws, nothing glued in, so, if desired, everything can be easily removed/replaced. Fully insulated using sheeps wool, it keeps the van warm and fresh, and helps regulate the internal humidity. We also installed a Flettner Slimline Low-Profile Ventilator in the roof for extra ventilation.

For the interior the bed can be used as a single/sofa in an L-shaped configuration with a slide out section allowing conversion into a double bed. The bed is topped with a custom made half cold pressed foam, half memory foam mattress. The mattress has a Teflon silk cover which is soft, durable, dirt and water repellent, completely removeable and machine washable. There is loads of storage under the bed, accessible from both the side and back doors. We've been able to store some really bulky objects under the bed including a bouldering mat. There is also a small storage cupboard to the side of the bed, the door of which can be flipped up to be used as a small table.

The sale of the vehicle also includes a custom made awning for the rear barn doors, insulated reflective covers for all the windows and Thule Wingbar Evo roof rack. We have also installed a Fresnel lens on the passenger side window to improve visibility for the driver.
