Description

The time has come to sell our trusty travel companion. We built this cosy campervan out of an empty Vauxhall Vivaro (2017) LWB in 2021/22.

It is a sturdy, functional and very cosy home.
Ideal and spacious for two as it is a LWB (long-wheeled base).
It is equipped with a 12v/130ah Expedition Plus Deep Cycle AGM leisure battery, Renogy 100w 12v monocrystaline solar panel with a 20amp Rover MPPT Charge Controller and BT monitor, multiple cigarette sockets for USB plug-ins and a second Renogy B2B battery charger connected from the main engine’s battery. We have installed a sliding window on the side door, a rear window on one of the back barn doors and a Fiamma roof vent above the kitchen.

The L-shaped day sofa slides out to become a double bed (135cm/180cm) and is fitted with an Ikea futon mattress with plenty of storage underneath. The mattress pieces have homemade zipped-covers and a protective cover underneath- both removable and washable. The underneath storage is a good place for things you don’t need daily- large backpacks, extra hiking shoes, camping gear, 25lt drum of extra water storage. Also the bedding is kept below the bed keeping the sofa neat in the daytime. And the electronics- leisure battery, solar monitor, fuse box, B2B battery charger etc. are all installed below the bed- with the wooden frame built to hinge up for better access. The DC Hub/fusebox is connected to all the electronics before the battery as a safety mechanism.

Along the side of the van is shelving top to bottom allowing for lots of wardrobe storage. Attached to the wardrobe storage is a foldout table, perfect for enjoying your van cook up meals or simply relaxing over beers and nibbles while playing cards.

The kitchen contains a two-burner camping stove - perfect for a pot and pan and cooking great meals. It’s hidden away under the bench top which lifts up on hinges allowing for simple access but also bench space. The kitchen unit is on rails to pull outside to allow for outdoor cooking, with a support leg to stand on. There is a rechargeable 2.5kg Campingaz gas bottle connected to the stove via hose inside the kitchen unit. The kitchen has lots plenty of storage space with various shelves and container tubs. There is also a cooling box used as a fridge with 12v connection nearby and a tapped 20lt water canister.

By the kitchen there are two cigarette socket power outlets and two light switches for the down lighting installed in the ceiling. When you want more ambient lighting, there is LED lights around the edge of the ceiling which can be remote controlled for different effects or colours.

There is an amazing amount of storage available in the van including space for 20+book library, two peoples clothing/camping gear and so much accumulation along the way.

The van is in very good mechanical condition, and has been serviced yearly. The last MOT was done in mid November 2024, and has always passed every MOT.

It has a few scratches but all are minor. Overall it is in great, clean condition and holds a wicked unique, blue colour.
It is registered to Belfast, Northern Ireland and is in MOT until 17th November 2025.

Overall, it is a very warm and comfortable home, we put a lot of love and effort in it to make it pleasant to live in. If we weren’t moving overseas we would definitely be holding on to our perfect getaway van. As such, we would love to let it go to someone who will appreciate it as much as we do.
