Description

MOT until July 2026, drives well, in need of some work, which is reflected in the price. Details below.

I bought this motorhome (we named her Lola!) about 2 1/2 years ago after my Mum passed away. We've had some lovely adventures in it (although have only added a total of 3000+ miles to the clock in that time), and was still using it up until only last month (in fact it still has a lot of my things still in it, so will obviously remove before sale!) Reason for sale, it's too big for our personal needs, it needs work and I don't have the time, money or skills to do it, and I need to try and raise some money for home improvements.

Sleeps 4-5 people. 1 x double bed above the cab with solid wooden detachable ladder. Small double bed made from the dining table and seats. And small single along the large bench seat. All covers in great condition. Think it must have been re-covered at some point in it's later life. All seats have storage underneath, with one storing the large water tank. There is a wardrobe with a long mirror on the inside of the door.

2 rear seat-belted seats.

It has a bathroom with Thetford cassette toilet (which I've never known the flush to work, but I've just swilled with a cup of water if needed. Might be a simple fix like a fuse or something, but I don't know how these things work. I've never used for number twos, but that's just a personal thing because emptying it isn't my favourite job!). It has a shower attachment that extends out of the bathroom tap. I have never been able to get the hot water tank working, but this may be something simple, or a technic I've not mastered. I just never bothered to look in to getting it fixed because I would shower on the campsite or boil a kettle for hot water....or just use it cold on occasions! But the heater, fridge/freezer, 3 hobs, grill, and oven all work. They are old. But they work.

There is hook up, which works and will come with the connecting lead. The leisure battery holds its charge well, but don't ask me about the system and how it works, because I'm afraid to say I'm a little clueless when it comes to things like that! I've only used it for basic lighting and power for the water pump. I've not used it for the fridge because it will eat the battery. I run the fridge from the gas...or hook up.

There is a Fiamma awning, which is in working order. Just needs a little guidance to get it aligned when reeling it back on to the casing.

There is connections for TV type stuff and a bracket to hold one, but I've never had a TV in there, so not sure if it's all running ok. I was told it was when I bought it. But I never feel there's a need for TV when your adventuring in the wilderness! 😉

There is some service history, not extensive, with the last service being just before I bought it. I haven't had it serviced, but it has only done 3000+ miles since the last service. The previous owner had a habitation check done with no issues.

It will come with a gas bottle. Not sure how much is left in it, but its easy enough to get refills.

Comes with a pile of instruction manuals for various things. Can't say I've ever looked at any of them, but they came with the vehicle so can go with the vehicle!

Negatives:

On one of my trips over the summer, the engine overheated and a warning light came on. The AA recovered us and was taken for repair. The issue had been that a pipe somewhere in the coolant system had snapped off and that drained the system. Everything was fixed, but after the repair when I took it away to Pembroke and back in August, that warning light came on at times...but only when I was turning right! So think it is just a sensor as there was no evidence of any overheating for both lengths of the journey.

The horn can be temperamental. It used to not always respond when pressed and so had to get it looked at. This was resolved. However, after the above coolant system repair, for some reason the horn sometimes goes off when you go over a bump! Again, probably just a sensor or dodgy connection, as explained it did have dodgy connection issues previously. Only this time it seems to be oversensitive rather than under sensitive! I have driven it since and this hasn't happened again, so do think it's a sensor.

I have discovered recently evidence of significant damp in the one upper cupboard (see photo). I don't know the true extent of any damp damage, but I have tried to show what I have seen, to be as transparent as possible. In general the interior decor is pretty tidy. Please don't forget this vehicle is 26 years old, so you need to expect it to have it's quirks and imperfections!

I have shown on the photos some dents on the external upper cab area and body. I bought it like this, as I'm not bothered about cosmetic stuff like that, but I don't know what happened. I'm guessing someone bumped it a bit at some point. But it hasn't affected anything. It wasn't registered at previous sale with any insurance damage category. I've never had an accident in it either.

I think this motorhome has a lot of life left in it, but as described, it does need some TLC, which is why it's priced so low. It may be someone's little winter project, ready for adventures next summer if that's your skill? However, with the 10 months MOT left on it, you could drive away and use immediately if you wanted (I did take a video of me starting up the engine and a bit showing the engine running etc, but again struggled to upload on here. So if you want me to send that over please ask).

I hope that covers pretty much everything. But if you have any questions, please ask and I will do my best to answer them.

Open to sensible offers. NO TIME WASTERS PLEASE! Have had too many of them already!
