Ford Transit Mk7 2011 (61) converted camper

251k miles still going strong pulls great in every gear! possibly had a new engine but cannot confirm this.

Has an aftermarket android head unit with wireless apple car play and android car play also has a reverse camera too.

MOT until 7th April 2026 with a couple of advisories which are steps (both sides) where the bolt comes through for the plastic inner step is needing a small patch, rear tyres close to limit and 2 front wishbones are needing replaced (cheap on eBay for the pair) power steering pipe (high pressure) slight seepage you’re best changing this over asap as it does leak and needs topped up quite regularly it is cheap enough again from eBay I’ve just not got the time anymore.

This van has been well maintained since I bought it in July 2023 when originally it was bought to use as a work van however circumstances changed and that is when I decided to convert the van to a camper last summer (2024) with the intensions to use it this year but it just is not big enough for us so it has not been used at all so even the mattress has not been slept on.

Maintenance wise the van has had wheel bearings, brake pads and discs all round front wheel bearings last year and rear this year for mot. new rear lights, all welding required underneath (inner and outer sills) was done just need 2 small patches on the steps as mentioned above other than that the van is solid. new lower ball joints, drop links and track rod ends. front tyres have plenty of tread left on them.

As mentioned above the engine is mechanically sound however there is bad points and here it is as I'm being as honest as I can with this the slave cylinder is noisy sometimes when the van is idling as soon as you drop the clutch and let it back up it stops it has been like this since I bought the van in 2023 and never got any worse since I've owned it so it is something I've just learned to live with it is an easy enough fix especially on these vans they have so much room to work on them but I don't have the funds to put this right unfortunately so that the not so great bodywork and the milage not the worst I've seen but not great either so don't expect a new looking van it would look amazing with a matte type paint which I did plan on doing but we require something bigger to go as a family so I would be tempted to swap for the right size caravan.

Side window with sliding glass with fitted curtains.

Roof fan and extractor with lights.

tongue and groove roof panels (unpainted so could use your own choice of colour)

4 LED lights above the bed area controlled by switch board (see pics)

2 LED lights in toilet cubicle controlled by separate switch on board.

Thetford cassette toilet.

fold down bed with memory foam Z-folding mattress which folds away neatly behind the base panels when not in use.

Full electrics mostly being 12v powered (lights, Diesel heater, roof fan and USB sockets) however the tv is powered by 240AC power so there is 4 plug sockets also in the van (2x double sockets) powered by Victron energy pure sinewave inverter.

Diesel heater fitted with diesel tank in cupboard for easy refilling.

2 x 100Ah lead acid batteries so van could easily be used off grid if you wish to do so.

Fire extinguisher.

Carbon monoxide alarm.

Does not have a sink or any appliances fitted due to space unfortunately but there is options out there to make things work I will include a Campingaz single ring stove in the sale (see pics)

All wall main support beams and doors are carpeted walls finished off with 4mm ply (that also could be painted in your choice of colour)

Same with the inner and outer toilet cubicle

I kept the over head storage area natural to preserve the space for storage as much as possible.

There is a single drawer with dividers for storage of cups, cutlery etc. and small cupboards under the bed area where small items can be stored.

Taking the things in to consideration with milage, not so great bodywork (being used as a work van over the years) and the clutch slave cylinder being intermittently noisy and the advisories needing done for next mot this is reflecting on the price so please no tyre kickers!
