Description
This is the Nikon Coolpix waterproof and shockproof camera. It has a 5x zoom lens (not a digital zoom!). It is waterproof to 10 metres and shockproof if dropped from 1.5 metres (or around 5 feet). Included is the charger and two non-OEM spare batteries. The resolution of the sensor is 16 Pixels. Also included is a 2 GB memory card which can store around 500 images or 20 minutes of video.
As is common practice these days, no full manual was included with the purchase but this can be downloaded from Nikon. The camera is very light (around 6 ounces) and small (width is 4 inches). There are various shooting modes available. The supplied battery does not have a long life when GPS is activated, hence the need for spare batteries. However, you can switch off the GPS if you feel you don't need this - however it's useful to help you remember where you took your photographs.
The main downside of this camera is that it is easy to block the from of the lens with your thumb as its not clear where the front of the lens is!
