We are an architectural company that prides itself in providing full Planning Applications, Building Control and full design services and would be happy to have a one to one discussion with you about your proposed house extensions or alterations, no matter how small.
We have been working in architectural practice since 1986 covering various project types ranging from libraries, hospitals, offices, schools and now specialise mainly in housing and residential designs. Our focus is now more on designing homely, bespoke houses, challenging Planning and Building regulations requirements but at the same time successfully ticking off all their boxes for our clients, as evident in our success rate.
The design of contemporary houses and the production of drawings for rear/side/loft/dormer extensions or alterations is our passion and forte. We delight in finding ways of maximising the spaces within the smallest of houses giving you the most of what space is available. We were very fortunate in having Ernest recommended to us for the conversion of our garage into a living space for medical needs. The plans he produced met our exact requirements and he saw the process through planning approval and building regulations. The end result produced by our builders mirrored Ernest’s plans and have significantly enhanced our well being and our home. I might add that Ernest is a real gentleman and a pleasure to work with. We absolutely loved working Ernest and his team. He was attentive, diligent and insightful in helping us to navigate the process. An architect has to understand what the living space is going to be used for in order to present the best option. Ernest did exactly that; he listened carefully to why we wanted to expand, and then presented options. His congenial manner meant we looked forward to working with him, and attentiveness to detail ensured that we successfully navigated two planning authorities with ease.

Re: Ernest Badu – Architect We decided to have our kitchen extended by removing the attached conservatory and erecting a single storey extension that the existing and renewed kitchen could expand into. We approached Ernest and he gave us some mock-up drawings of what the new extension/kitchen would look like. We were impressed with these and decided to engage Ernest to draw up working plans that we could then use to obtain planning permission. All went smoothly and when it came to then having building regulations approved, Ernest arranged for a structural engineer and a heating engineer to comment on the proposals and to rework the drawings. All this led to builders and kitchen fitters being able to start smoothly and we are now the proud owners of an amazing extension and brand new kitchen in line with the plans given. For instance, we have a waterfall end island of 3 metres in Colonial White granite with a breakfast bar side and a 1.5 metre granite table at the end of this as an additional dining space. We engaged Ernest to come over at regular intervals throughout the construction work and to comment on progress leading to the successful conclusion that we now enjoy.
