Be aware of this company before accepting their work. Very manipulative and untruthful with me. Thomas Coffey, owner of Designer Drives responded quickly . He came and told me bad things about other companies, to make me think that he is honest and uses good work skills with really good staff. He starts ticking boxes on the quote, promising that he will do all you want to have . This was his technique to convince me and make me sign the quote. .uses techniques to manipulate and convince customers of doing good work , he says he will do this and that for you, and ticks boxes on the quote , he will pretend that he is honest, until you sign and accept his work. When the company starts the work, Tom will stay for 2 minutes and then he goes and leaves the workers start the job. They started asking for tea , and when Jimmy starts laying the resins, he does not do a good job, he leaves work undone, and he does not do what is written on the quote,I told him that I was having a border around with a pattern , but he ignored me and carried on doing what he wants to do. I rang Thomas to let him know, but he does not answer phone. At the end , I did not have border and all I had was incomplete work.Tom said that I could pay 2 weeks after completing work, but this was NOT true, he demanded the money straight away and put me under pressure to pay. As I live on my own, he raised his voice and I paid. As soon as I paid, I asked for receipt or invoice, but he says that he only gives a quote and no invoice, is he doing this to avoid payment record with accounts?? Designer drives does not provide a service with reasonable care and skill, in my case the company did not do what was written on the quote, but he charged me for it. Another thing they did is that they removed my car from driveway, but when they finished the job, they left it on the road, even that I told Thomas that the car had been declared off the road and needed to be only on driveway. So DVLA will issue a fine to whoever left the car on the road. I wished I had never used this company, which I why I am writing a review with honesty and very truthful facts that happened to me.
