Introduction to Concrete by the Cement and Concrete Association.
A guide for site engineers and operatives in understanding the manufacture, materials and control of concrete, published by the Cement and Concrete Association. Thepaperback book covers the materials (cement, aggregate, water, and admixtures), how they are mixed, the properties of concrete, how to control the quality, and design concrete mixes.
A great little book for the newly qualified site engineer, as well as a reference guide for those more familiar with concrete. Would be ideal for a small / mediumsized company looking to train their site staff (engineers and operatives) on how concrete is designed, mixed and manufactured.
Still relevant today - never goes out of date. I have personally used it since 1977, and still referred to it until retirement.
In good condition for age, apart from punched holes for keeping it in ring binder.
