This is the 1968 fifth impression, the first edition having been published in 1964.

In generally very good condition with minor wear to the dust cover edges and aging of the page ends but the contents remain clear and bright, with no dedications or annotations. There is also a leaflet guide to the Charterhouse of Pavia used as a bookmark.
