Published by Jonathan Cape, 30 Bedford Sq., London, 1935 1st Edition 2nd Impression.

Preceded by the incomplete and extremely scarce 'Oxford Edition' of 1922, and the privately printed 'Subscriber's Edition' of 1926. This edition was issued in the same year as a trade edition limited to seven hundred and fifty copies.

Illustrated throughout with forty-eight plates and four fold-out maps.

Written by Thomas Edward Laurence, a British archaeologist, army officer, diplomat, and writer who became renowned for his role in the Arab Revolt and the Sinai and Palestine Campaign against the Ottoman Empire during the First World War.

In the original brown cloth binding. Externally, sound with rubbing and light bumping to the extremities. Joints starting to the head of the spine but firm. Some marking to the board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with the odd spot, top edge stained brown.
