4 x Old Bartholomew's Maps of Scotland

Description

These are four old cloth backed Bartholomew's maps of areas in Scotland. These maps are old and all have some folding of the edges of the front and back covers. The maps are in pretty good condition for their age but do have sign of use. Three of the maps date from the 1930's and one from the 1940's.

Lochaber
The title is “Bartholomew's Revised “Half-Inch” Contoured, Maps, Scotland Sheet 15, Lochaber. The date code is B34 which means it was published in the second half of 1934.

Skye & Wr Ross
The title is “Bartholomew's Revised “Half-Inch” Contoured, Maps, Scotland sheet 19, Skye & Wr Ross. The date code is B36 which means it was published in the second half of 1936. This is a dissected map, meaning each section has been separated and stuck on the cloth base.

Moray & Black Isle
The title is “Bartholomew's Revised “Half-Inch” Contoured, Maps, Scotland Sheet 21 Moray & Black Isle. The price on the cover is three shillings net. The date code is A31 which means it was published in the first half of 1931.

Arisaig and Lochaber
The title is “Bartholomew's Revised “Half-Inch” Contoured, Maps, Scotland Sheet 50 Arisaig and Lochaber. There is no date code, but the magnetic declination shows that it was published after 1945.
