We’re Bassline — a growing, down-to-earth chartered accountancy firm based in Leeds (close to the train station), supporting clients across the UK and even a few abroad. While we’re a relatively new company, our experience runs deep. We also support locally. We sponsor Headingley Rovers FC (who play at Bedquilts in Adel) and also a little further afield we sponsor Phoenix U11's in Sheffield.

Ian Burns is a co-founder of Bassline and an ICAEW-qualified Chartered Accountant with over 15 years' experience in accounting, taxation, and finance — including 10 years in audit. Ian has worked with businesses across industries like printing, manufacturing, breweries, property development, hospitality, and even theatre production.

He began by supporting new ventures from day one, offering close guidance to founders during those crucial early stages. Today, he continues to partner with clients at every stage of their journey — from startup to scale — across the UK and internationally.

Dan, Bassline’s co-founder, brings 25+ years of global experience across elite sport and business. His background includes:

* Former junior national athlete and police officer
* Olympic ski/snowboard coach and director of performance
* Sports agent, business owner, and strategic consultant

Dan’s career bridges high-performance sport, entrepreneurship, and marketing — bringing a unique perspective to business growth, leadership, and resilience.
