Description
A 9 foot classic yacht tender in marine ply sheathed with fibreglass cloth and epoxy seal.
This rowing dinghy was built some years ago by Brian Pomeroy of Dartmouth, a noted builder of classic pilot gigs and skiffs. The boat has spent most of its life stored in a garage and has only ever been in the water a couple of times, so it is in nearly new condition.
Hard chine profile, two rowing positions and adjustable foot rests for each. Bronze runners on the hardwood keel rail fore and aft. The boat is strong but light – would guess around 45kg so easily roof-racked by two people. Under oars it skims across the water very efficiently, even against a fair current.
I bought this boat to use as a fishing dinghy but I have decided it is too finely built for that, would much better suit a classic yacht. It is a handsome craft built with great attention to detail.
