BMW E39 535i Msport 3.5 V8. Spares or repair

With a very heavy heart I’m listing my E39 for spares or repair, it’s finished in the desirable and a cost option when new imola red, it’s a genuine M sport so has the all black leather sports interior with all black headlining etc and factory lower stiffer suspension. Prior to coming off the road the car had 4x new tyres and new brakes all round, a new rear section of the exhaust was also fitted.
There were no faults present, no warning lights etc, abs and airbags work as they should with all warning lights going out as they should and still do if a battery is fitted, all keys are present and remote locking still works on all keys, the original bmw business audio system is still fitted being the cassette player with cd changer in the boot, and also has the factory fit Nokia phone in its holder in the centre armrest which works as handsfree thought the cars audio system, this also still works although will require a new sim card, the AC blew I’ve cold and all other accessories function as they should, electric sunroof, electric mirrors, electric windows etc, it also benefits from having factory fitted HID headlamps which work as they should
This car was purchased by my friends mother and father from our local BMW dealers in the early 2000’s i understand it was a demonstrator prior to them owing it. It had no expense spared over the years having most of its servicing and any work required done by the supplying dealer, there is stacks of history with the car with documentation of work done with receipts etc, I have the original bill of sale from when they bought it, it has done a genuine 127000 miles, I was approached by my friend a couple of years ago asking if I’d be interested in the car as his parents were moving house and no longer had the space to keep the car, having had an identical E39 in the past i immediately purchased it with the view to restore it to show condition.
Unfortunately a couple months after i purchased it the timing chain tensioners/guides fell to bits (common on these engines, they are plastic and go brittle with age) the engine wasn’t running at the time and only became apparent when I went to start it one day, the chain hasn’t snapped but due to there being no tention on it it’s loose and doesn’t turn the cams etc, my intention was purchased the timing chain kit and get her back up and running again but Iv cone to accept that because of ill health I’m never going to get round to doing it now, it’s condition has deteriorated whilst sitting for over a year and will require a new drivers wing and a replacement bonnet where ‘apparently’ the wind lifted the bonnet open at the compound I was previously storing it in’ also the rear arches will require minor work and the car would now benefit from a respray. The car comes with genuine bmw roof cars and various new genuine bmw rubber trims for round the windscreen etc to replace the original perishing rubber ones. I really don’t want to sell this car but I’d rather see someone fix her up and enjoy her rather than it sitting on my drive.
