I contacted Sam via a recommendation for a client I was project managing, we needed three gates in total, one being a cantilever, Sam was the most competitively priced, he delivered the gates on time and was available for all queries the builder had, the quality of the gates was exceptional and I would not hesitate using Sam again for future projects.

I really needed to leave this review to let everyone know how great an experience it was working with Sam of Samuel David Fabrications, Bespoke Gate Automation, Fabrication & Installation. Sam truly deserves for as many people as possible thinking about having custom gates fabricated and installed introducing to him. Quite a few years ago I had a plan for my garden which included the digging out and installation of a brand new drive and in my mind we also needed a 5 metre wide cantilever gate that “floated” above the new drive without the need for it to run on an obstructive track that would also run across my pedestrian footpath. In addition to this the weighted end of the gate would need to sit in a space of 1900mm, not easy, in fact everyone I had out to take a look at it when I was ready for it stated it could not be done. Step forward Sam who in the end was the guy that has made my year and there’s five months of the year left. I found Samuel David Fabrications whilst watching Youtube, I knew from watching a short film and listening to the feedback the customer was giving about the work that Sam was doing for him that Sam was the guy I needed. I made contact with Sam in the hope he would travel to me in Leeds, he agreed. He arrived as planned and I talked him through what was in my head, Sam said, yes, of course it can be done and proceeded to explain in detail how he would do my 5 metre wide cantilevered gate that was to run up a gradient, over my pedestrian footpath, in between the space I had left and to fit in the 1900mm space. I placed the order there and then. I must say at this point that Covid-19 had just taken hold on the country. Sam made several site visits and kept me up to date with any updates around materials delays, social distancing precautions due to Covid-19 etc. and his plans to work with the team who were completing my landscaping and driveway. Fast forward several weeks and I am now the very proud owner of a fantastic looking 5 metre wide cantilever gate that fits and goes exactly where I needed it to. Forget the big boys, the well known brands who only wish to make it as easy as possible for themselves and make as much profit as possible in the process. From start to finish Sam has been nothing short of brilliant in his professionalism, his approach, his pride in his work and the fact he really understands that the customer wants the very best and he strives to deliver that for them. Whenever I asked if he could attend my house to go through something he was only too willing to do so, this is testament to the great job he wishes to do for his customers. I now have a gate that looks better than I had ever expected, it is really strongly made and has a great motor opener/closer fitted, the whole project was delivered flawlessly by Sam. In addition to this he also re-cladded a pedestrian gate for me so it matched my new electric gate. I strongly recommend this guy for all of your gate needs.
