Description
imota launched the DB2 in 1993 powered by the air/ oil cooled Ducati 900 Super Sport engine. The SR came in two years later but now fitted with fuel injection in an effort to boost power and mid range torque, however the injection system was problematic - a lack of development plagued by the companies constant financial troubles meant only 157 or so were built and in reality the injection took away a bit of the raw performance that the 904cc V twin engine was famous for.
This SR from 1995 has been converted back to carbs with twin Keihin FCR41 flatslides that has given the bike back its grunt, this coupled with the light weight Bimota frame makes it a fun and rewarding bike to ride, a classic that really has some go!
It has also been the subject of some sympathetic restoration work, a Dream Machine repaint in OEM colours and a new seat cover as well as recent full service, new belts, plugs, leads and battery and an overhaul of the suspension. Showing just 16, 000 kms it comes with invoices for the recent work plus copies of the manufacturers handbook, a paddock stand and a new set of Pirelli Rosso corsa tyres.
