Description
This Trek Checkpoint SL5 gravel bike has a full Shimano 105 drive train, Shimano RS505 hydraulic disc bakes and a light-weight, full carbon frame with IsoSpeed, a “decoupler” at the top tube/seat tube junction that allows a degree of flexing which maintains the feel and efficiency of a traditional race bike and helps you stay stronger for longer.
Checkpoint geometry is comfortable for long rides but aggressive enough to provide the speed and ride-feel that gravel riders look for.
The bike is extremely versatile, being suited to a wide variety of riding styles including gravel rides, bike-packing and daily commutes. Fitted 35mm tyres are perfect for a wide range of terrain, but the bike will accept up to 45mm tyres to tackle rut-ridden roads, and down to 28mm slicks for a firm, fast-rolling ride.
The bike is covered in mounts, the xtra mounts on the top tube, seat tube and both sides of the down tube making it easy to carry extra gear.
