Description
Raleigh Stowaway folding bike, m purchased in 1976 and only been lightly used since then. It has always been stored under cover and, despite its age is in excellent condition. The paint work shows small areas of superficial rust and the chrome work is in good condition but should be protected by polish to avoid future rusting.
Loosening a bolt mounted on the main frame allows the cycle to be folded for transport, we managed to fit two or these cycles in the boot of our Ford Cortina when we moved to Holland in 1976! The bike has its original tyres and chrome mudguards.
The bike features:
* Height-adjustable handlebars
* 3 speed Sturmey Archer gears operated from a hand grip on the handle bar
* 20" wheels
* Original, height-adjustable seat
* Spring-loaded carrier behind the saddle
* Original spanner for maintenance.
There is also a plastic-covered wire, lockable security cable which will be included.
The bike may be viewed by mutual arrangement and on a successful purchase being agreed, collection is recommended.
