Orange X1 Retro Mountain Bike - 17” Framesize

Description
The X1 was Orange’s first ever full-suspension bike and it was made of steel, not aluminium.
The bike is much lighter than it looks & is ready to ride.
Note that the Girvin suspension fork was working until about a week ago when I realised it was jammed- so ideal for someone who knows how to unjam it or has the time to take it on as a project (could even replace it with a new one of your choice!). Nonetheless, the bike is rideable as is.
Gears, brakes, tyres, etc still have a lot of life as seen in the images. There’s very minimal rust as seen- nothing than can’t be cleaned off. Overall the bike could do with a general clean. Apart from the front suspension, the bike is fully operational.
Main specs:
- Lightweight micro butted chromoly frame (17” Framesize- measured from centre of bottom bracket to top of seat clamp)
- Shimano Deore XT group set (8X3 gears)
- Shimano Deore XT SLR Plus cantilever brakes with Fibrax brake pads
- CPI7-175G crankset
- Strata Shock (Santa Barbara, USA)
- Girvin front suspension fork (needs repair or replacing as mentioned above)
- Impes Fir wheelset (made in Italy)
- Nokian Fat Hakka DH 26X2.3 tyres
- VP metal MTB pedals
- Viscount Chromoly Rapido saddle
- Club Roost stem
- Go Fast handlebar with Tranz X bar ends.
Also comes with bell, bottle holder & front mudguard as seen.
Excellent as a display item or starter project.
Cash on collection from Hoddesdon. Near offers are welcome. Let me know if you’re unsure about size. Many thanks!
