Description
I'm lucky enough to own a number of bicycles (two costing in excess of £10,000) and I'm occasionally asked 'if there was a fire which one would you save first'? Or, 'if you could only have one bike what would it be'? The answer to both questions would be, 'the Moulton'. They're light, they're nimble, they're fun and with suspension at both ends they're uncannily smooth. Somehow the steering gives a feedback that I've never experienced with any other bike. To use a car analogy, imagine a Lotus Elise that rides like a Mercedes Benz. I am only selling because I have started riding Audax events and have purchased a Moulton TSR 22 which has a better range of gears, especially for the steepest of hills. The TSR 9 has never been found wanting in the area where I live which is mostly flat with rolling hills and if I wasn't doing Audax I wouldn't be selling.
I've owned the bike from new and it's been well looked after. The chain and tyres are relatively new. I replaced the rear cassette with a Shimano Ultegra which suits the flat and rolling terrain of the area where I live. It's an 11-25.
It's a separable frame which means it can pack away in two halves in a matter of a couple of minutes only requiring a 6mm allen key (hex wrench). It will easily fit in the back of a small hatchback.
Everything works as it should and it rides exactly the same as a new one (except the old one has better brakes - not as pretty but they work better).
I'm happy to bubble wrap, box and post the bike at the asking price or collection in person from my home near Skegness is also possible.
Feel free to email me with questions.
