Description

Hopper Mens Roadster/ Town Bike, Black and Rusty Red,

3 Speed Sturmey Archer Internal Hub Gears with Later Trigger Shift,

Mechanical Rod Brakes, Steel Rims, 1/2 of a Bell, Original No Slip Grips,

Original 4 Inch Rubber Pedals, Original Leather Basket Straps,

The Original Black Paint Looks Good and a bit of the Original Red Pinstriping is Visible along with the Hopper Lettering on the Seat Tube,

Full Steel Wrap Around Mudguards with Original Lucas Reflector, Rear Rack, Comfy Saddle,

The 3-Speed Hub Gears are Low Maintenence and Really All You Need in London

Runs Amazingly Well for Being 73 Years Old,

This Classic was Collected from Primrose Hill,

It has Spent the Last 20+ Years in the Coal Cellar, Bringing it out into the Daylight I pumped up the Tyres and Amazingly they Held Air!! A Quick Wash, Mini Service, A new Indicator Pin/ Wheel Nut and a Bit of Lube and I Took it out for a Test Ride. The 3-Speed Stumey Archer Hub Dated 1948 Works Perfectly! All Bearings do What They are Supposed to do, Brakes need New Pads, but I will Supply them with the Bike.
Being Early Postwar it has a Combination of Prewar Nickle Plating and Bits of Shiny Chrome, All British Bike Builders stopped Building Bicycles thru the 2nd World War and produced Munitions for the War Effort. Once They Retooled for Bike Building They Used their Old Stock of Prewar Parts on the Production Line. This Ones a Survivor!!!
What to do??? I am torn!!! What has been decided is to pass this beauty on to someone else to make it their Project. You Can Ride it Home and Make Your Own Decision,
Rusty Wreck Pub Bike? Garden Ornament? Shop Display? Film Prop? Pub Decoration???

This Bike is 73 Years Old and a Pleasure to Ride,

A True Classic British Town Bike, Almost Totally Original,

Ready to Ride Home Only £150
