Carrera Vengeance MAGNESIUM! custom built road bike

Description

This isn’t your usual Carrera and certainly bears no resemblance to the awful Carrera Vengeance currently on sale at Halfrauds! This one has a magnesium frame made by Merida for Carrera back in the early 2000’s, very distinctive with its oversized tubing and beefy welds and gussets, it’s ride quality is sublime, comfortable like titanium but also superlight. Magnesium untreated is also flammable so no smoking riding this! Ive built this up with top end parts so this really is something special and you won’t see another. Marked as a 58cm frame, seat tube is 58cm c-t, top tube is 56cm c-c so actually fits like a standard 56cm frame, carbon forks with long steerer, mainly Shimano Ultegra 6700 20speed groupset with the carbon STI levers, Hollowtech chainset with Rotor 52/39 Q Rings, dual pivot brake callipers, Shimano Ultegra long cage rear mech with 11-32 cassette. Deep section carbon clincher wheels with alloy braking surface, rear genuine Shimano RS80, front Planet X stickered up as a Bontrager, both with Vittoria Corsa 25mm tyres, Easton EC70 carbon seat post with Selle Italia SLR Flow saddle, 3T Arx II Pro handlebar stem with Forza bars, Shimano SPD-SL pedals, Kinetic bottle cage. Excellent condition, frame is exceptional for its age, I’d say barely used. Its freshly built with new and lightly used parts. Rides like a new bike but you won’t find anything this special in your local bike shop.
