Description
Apollo BMX Stunt Bike 20”
General Description
Apollo BMX stunt-style bike built from a lightly used frame and 20" wheels.
Ridden once for a test ride, then stored indoors for ~10 years.
Collection only from Derby DE23
Mechanically sound—everything works.
Frame & Size
Approx. frame size: 29 cm / ~11.4" (centre of BB to top of seat tube).
Strong steel BMX frame with light cosmetic marks from prior use/storage.
Wheels & Tyres
20" wheels with big-bolt axles (bolt-on, not quick-release).
48 spokes front and rear.
BOXER 20 x 2.0 off-road style tyres: very lightly used but now show age-related cracking—rideable for now; plan to replace.
Rim braking surfaces show light wear.
Front rim has a few small dents—purely cosmetic; does not affect function.
Drivetrain
3-piece crank setup (separate spindle, crank arms, and chainring).
44-teeth chainring (solid black disc style).
18-teeth rear freewheel.
175 mm crank arms.
Lightly used MTB platform pedals fitted (not BMX-specific).
Brakes & Controls
TEKTRO U-brakes (990 style) front and rear with TEKTRO levers.
360° gyro rotor system allows full bar spins without cable tangling.
Rear brake setup features a Fishbone splitter and SST ORYG converter as part of the gyro system, ensuring smooth and reliable braking through full handlebar rotations.
Front brake cable routes through the fork/stem.
Pads show little wear; plenty of life left.
Condition Summary
Ready to ride; brakes and drivetrain operate as they should.
Visual wear consistent with light use and long storage.
Fishbone splitter cage end slightly broke - see picture.
Tyres are cracked from age—budget for new ones if you’ll ride it hard.
Great base for a freestyle/BMX build with a few upgrades, or a tough, low-cost bike for kids that’s hard to break.
Serious offer will be considered
