A quality Bacon & Day Silver Bell Plectrum Banjo.11 inch hoop 22 frets.
This pre war banjo has been professionally serviced to bring it to a high playing and visual standard. The neck has been re-set to take a 5/8 inch bridge. The knee mute has been removed but is available if required although the neck will need to be re-set back to the original setting to enable it to fit properly. In my opinion it is an add-on gimmick which serves no purpose, hence its removal.
This banjo was made in Groton Connecticut USA. Its serial Number is 16245. It has been completely re-fretted with top class American frets. It is all original. B & D banjos were the first choice of many top players in the 1920/30s. I am selling at £1,350 to include a Hard Shell Case and free insurance cover and courier delivery to UK mainland. Other destinations are subject to discussion.
