Engine / Transmission

In terms of mechanics the car drives absolutely superb and is a pleasure to drive in every regard, responsive, tight and totally smooth as it should be.
The engine and all its components are in perfect order and the higher powered 3.0 TDI engine is the most desired in terms of performance and economy, as well durable and trouble/fault free.
I have always used Shell V-Power diesel.
The highly refined Auto Tiptronic Gearbox is unbelievably smooth with the gear change being totally un-noticeable providing an unparalleled drive and fantastic comfort.
The torque convertor was serviced (to fix a judder issue) at 130,000 (cost £1,500 in 2019). Problem has gone.
The 3.0 V6 Engine is Chain Driven.
Sep 2024 I had the EGR system cleaned as had EGR light on dashboard. Problem all sorted.
Dec 2024 Engine was letting unburnt Diesel through. £3K later (injectors replaced), issue now resolved.

The interior of the car can safely be described as excellent throughout.
There are no apparent markings or blemishes on the interior and none of the control buttons and associated display area show any signs of wear.

Honesty box:
============
Here are things I know are wrong with the car:
=> CAT N - chap hit 3 cars (1 being my parked Audi A6). He then attempted to drive off (yes, they walk among us!). He was caught, citizens arrest, if you like.
His insurance decided the cost to repair my A6 was greater than my cars value. Hence CAT-N. However... please read on...
=> I bought the car back from the insurers. I had the scratches polished (see before and after pictures).
=> I also put the car through a 4 wheel alignment (alignment was OK) and a new MOT (100% clean).
=> Mark on bonnet: The car was held for 2 months at the insurance assessors, left outside with landgulls doing what birds do! Combination of the bird poo and hot weather has left a mark on the bonnet. Nowhere else. Fuming.
=> 2 rust spots (lower OSF wheel arch - 5mm , NSR passenger door - 2mm). I will point them out to you.
=> otherwise, car has a few minor body marks/stonechips - but nothing untoward for a car of this age.
=> the undertray is a bit of a mess (held on with original screws and thick cable ties). I heard these are expensive to replace, so didn't replace.
