The Aston Martin V8 Coup was introduced in 1996 as a development of the original Virage model. Powered by a revised version of the 32 valve 5.3 litre V8 engine, the V8 coup was a much improved car due to the investment of the Ford Motor Company resources. The styling cues followed that of the Vantage but without bonnet vents and wide wheels. The distinguished look included a new mesh radiator grille and air intakes in the front spoiler, giving a purposeful aerodynamic stance.
