Unfortunately, my experience with Express Plans (Mike) for a maisonette loft conversion wasn’t positive. Mike prepared our initial planning application, but it became clear he lacked in-depth knowledge of what the council would approve, especially for more complex urban settings such as a maisonette. The plans were ultimately rejected in January 2035, and I had to hire another architect who successfully got us permission now in May 2025. I feel Mike should have been upfront about his limitations from the start, as the saying goes — buy cheap, pay twice.
