X. Large 19th-Century Dutch Delft Blue and White Tin-Glazed Toby Jug circa 1890
Brief Description:
This is a wonderful, Extra-large late 19th-century Dutch Blue and White Delft Toby Jug modelled in the form of an affluently dressed Georgian Gentleman, who is wearing a wide-brimmed hat, a floral jacket, waistcoat and a pair of buckled shoes.
He is holding what appears to be a ceramic jug in one hand and a pipe in the other.
It is beautifully hand-painted, and it is an impressive-looking piece that displays well.
