WW2 RAF Plotters Operations Room RadioMicrophone Headset harness & breastplate
A Rare & Charismatic piece of history.
A WW2 RAF Plotters Operations Room Radio, Operators Microphone Headset with harness & breastplate.
General Post Office equipment was widely used by RAF personnel during the second world war. Used by female WAAF & WRAF personal, tasked with plotting aircraft in the Plotters Operation Room. It enabled the wearer to make & receive calls while being hands free. Also used by telephonists, Ops Room Plotters & members of the Observer Corps. (Please do your own research.)
Own a piece of WW2 RAF history. Perfect for collectors of militaria.
My eyes aren't good but I think it says on the breast plate;

In expected used but good condition for an item of this age & nature. It's being sold as untested, as I wouldn't know what to plug it into so it's in "as found" condition. It also has it's original canvas band & clip.
I have a tatty cardboard box that is NOT for sale but is stamped by the Air Ministry with an "AM" with a Crown in-between the two letters. So it will have been used in the Ops Room & members of the Observer Corps.
Don't miss the chance to own this unique piece of history.
Please study the images, as they also form part of the description & please do your own research.
Can post at extra cost. Postage includes being signed for.
