Description
Vintage Kutani Teapot in the Akae (red) style with a geisha pattern on one side and landscape with lake and reeds on the other. Translucent base.
In very good condition with no cracks or chips.
Kutani ware was produced in the Ishikawa prefecture on the Sea of Japan coast of Honshu, the largest of the Japan islands. The age of this piece is not known but will have been bought in the late 1960s or possibly late 1950s so is at least 50 years old.
