LARGE VINTAGE FRENCH ENAMEL TRAFFIC SIGN, SHARP BENDS VIRAGES, 90x90x90cm, JEAN NEUHAUS VITRACIER VITREOUS ENAMEL - 1973 - REDUCED!!

One of several items from a vide grange in Troyes in the Champagne region (examples of other items acquired include an anvil, a workshop stool, industrial lamps, tool box, have a look at our other listings…)
This had been used for many years in a classic car workshop, first as a wall decoration, later as an interior/exterior café table top.
Manufactured by Jean Neuhaus Vitracier, it’s a quality, heavy, Sharp Bends or Virages Road Traffic sign in thick vitreous enamel dated 1973.
50 years old it’s now worn but still bright and sound it makes a great decorative display piece of French automobilia…
In very good vintage condition but with some wear, rusting, staining, and knocks - please examine photographs carefully for condition.
This was in a dirty condition when acquired and has cleaned up well.
The photos best show the condition of this.
The sign is enamelled steel rather than aluminium and in good, worn, condition with a few chips - see photos.
There is a little rust, front and back but no through perforation or holes.
The edges are strong and sound with the odd spot of touch up paint to the inside - see photos.
