Description
This stunning piece is currently used as a display cabinet, but its former function can easily be reinstated, as the interior back panels, lighting and glass shelves are removeable. The original timber shelves are all present. There are three sections, with glazed doors and keys. The carving, with shells, masks, and fruit in high relief, is a striking feature. The plinth is an addition, as the original was missing when the bookcase came into the family in the 1950s. This replacement was custom-made, stained and varnished to harmonise with the rest, and stands on bun feet. Overall size: 74.5"W x 18"D x 71"H (189x46x180 cms.) Cash only please. Buyer to organise removal.
