Description
A charming pair of vintage bud vases, featuring a delicate flared ruffled rim and hand-painted floral decoration with pink and yellow roses. Accented with raised gilt detail and a subtle crackle glaze, these pieces are likely mid-century decorative ware from Japan or continental Europe.
Both vases are marked with “44” to the base, likely a pattern or decorator reference. No maker’s mark present. In good vintage condition with some age-related wear to the gilding and light crazing visible in the glaze, consistent with age. One of the pair has a crack at the base of the neck.
