£85 the pair. Vintage Antique Victorian Edwardian trumpet-shape bud vases spill vases. Height 18 cm tall. James & William Deakin were manufacturers of silver and plate in Sheffield. The business was founded in 1866 by James Deakin as James Deakin & Co and then became James Deakin & Sons in 1871. They entered their first mark with the Sheffield Assay Office in 1878. Vases are hallmarked JD WD (stacked, one on top of the other inside a shield) followed by CROWN, LION, DOG/FOX. The other: JD WD (stacked) followed by CROWN, LION and the letter S.
