Magnificent 1903 Scottish Arts & Crafts Enameled Sterling Silver Centerpiece ,presented by glasgow yacht club to HIM ; king Edward 7th IN 1903
Made in Glasgow by famous silversmiths George Edward & Son
Monumental, with circular bowl decorated with strapwork above an addorsed mermaid and dolphin stem and issuing three downswept supports entwined with winged mermaid terms, over a circular spreading base enameled with heraldic pennants depicting a brown crowned rampant lion on a yellow shield and blue field, further decorated with mottled cabochans
Approximately 19" tall, 18.25" in top diameter, and 15.5" in base diameter
Piece weighs approximately 351 ounces.
