Description
Of historic interest and collectable. In reasonable condition for age. Gold clasp. Empty inside, apart from three images, see photos for these and condition. Inscription at front dated 1875. Interestingly, a card belonging to novelist and playwright John Galsworthy was found inside the album, but whether there is any connection to the album is unknown. The address on the card reads: Grove Lodge, The Grove, Hampstead, which was the home of Galsworthy from 1918 to 1933, during which time he completed The Forsyte Saga and won the Nobel Prize for Literature. Album measures: 16.5 cm x 13.5 cm x 5.5 cm. Sold as seen. From a pet and smoke-free home. (NB: If the item is shown on Gumtree it is still available. No need to ask.
