Acquired from an antique dealer in Reims, Champagne, this is a 1950s West German pottery vase by Scheurich.
Unusual in size and particularly it’s handled jug shaped design with a Fat Lava textured surface and bright abstract multicoloured panels that scream mid century modernism.
Now worn with several small chips and scratches it is still very sound and makes an imposing decorative piece.

The photos best show the condition of this.
In as found condition having just had a wash.
Still robust and watertight with no cracks.
