Description
East Anglia Empire Ware wash jug and bowl set. It is an attractive piece in a blue and white glaze. The jug measures 31 cms (12 1/4 inches) at its tallest and its maximum width is 20 cms (8 inches). The bowl measures 42 cms (16 1/2 inches) across and is 11.5 cms (4 1/2 inches) in height.
The bowl has no chips but has some obvious signs of wear. The jug has a tiny mark by the spout which is a loss of glazing but is not a chip
that goes right through as you can see in the photograph. This wash jug and bowl set is a fine example from this period and is in overall attractive condition. It would look lovely in any setting, modern or traditional. Of course is fully functional unlike many ornamental sets!
