Description
We are reluctantly selling one of our antique Grandfather clocks because of a house move to a smaller property. To give a little history of the clock, this eight day clock was manufactured by John Drage of Luton around 1830, ( Watchmakers & Clockmakers of the World vol.2, Brian Loomes). It is in exceptionally good condition and was serviced a couple of years ago. The rich flame patterned Mahogany case which does not appear to have any woodworm that we can see is 80 inches tall, 19 inches wide and 9 inches deep. It is used daily, has a nice strong tick and chimes a bell on the hour. There is a lock on the door with a single key, also included is the winding key.
