Description
Edwardian, solid silver, hip flask with silver, hinged screw top and removable (gilt interior) cup.
Hallmarked English silver, Birmingham, year 1905 (f), Makers mark: WB (William of Birmingham). Hallmarks to neck, body and cup.
Designed with a curve for better concealment and to sit comfortably in pocket.
I'm afraid my photos have let this beautiful object down. I have owned since the early 90's. At the time I purchased, I was told it had had a repair to the neck, but even with a magnifying glass, it is hard to detect.
It has a couple of short, light scratches that would likely remove with polishing cream. No dinks. Doesn't leak. Looks to be original cork. Hinged top opens smoothly with twist action. Hallmarks worn from wear and age.
