This lovely, large antique frame is Victorian. It has a graceful curvy shape and nice detailing, with a medallion at the top, garlands of leaves and flowers and tiny 'egg & dart' border at the top and bottom.
It is carved wood and has been painted creamy white with a matte finish.
This frame could hold a painting, print or mirror but does not come with glass. Because of the shape of the opening,it will need a specialist glass supplier or a framer capable of cutting glass shapes by hand.
A bit shabby chic, the frame is very decorative and in reasonably good condition for its age.
It measures 14 1/4 in. (36.5 cm) x 23 3/4 in. (60.5 cm).
