Description
This sale is for an antique copy of As You Like It by William Shakespeare. This edition was printed I believe was printed between 1909 and 1915. As there was no date in the book, this is based on information found about identical copies for sale in various places. This was printed by Hodder and Stoughton and contains illustrations by Hugh Thomson. This a hardcover book with original cloth with what looks like gold coloured gilt writing and diagram on the front cover and the spine.
Overall, The book is in very good condition for its age (please see the pictures and description below).
This book would make an excellent gift for collectors of classic books and those who love classic plays and especially William Shakespeare.

As You Like It is a pastoral comedy by William Shakespeare believed to have been written in 1599 and first published in the First Folio in 1623. The play's first performance is uncertain, though a performance at Wilton House in 1603 has been suggested as a possibility.
