We are delighted to offer this fabulous antique grand tour piece. An ancient Greek pottery urn copy that depicts a late Minoan 16th Century, 1500 BC piece. Hand applied surface floral motifs decoration on a terracotta ceramic urn vase from the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion, Crete, Greece. Fabulous muted colours & age related surface rub patination. Nicely base marked with hand script origin details. It pieces comes directly from a recent grand estate sale & is sold in superb as found condition. Minor age related surface wear scuffs which all adds to it's display charm. Minor fretting around the base edge rim & old repair to top edge rim (see pictures). Very difficult to see at first glance & overall display very nicely indeed & would make for a wonderful decorative side table interior design statement or fabulous addition to any ancient Greek pottery collection.
