An Italian style vintage Florentine shelf with distressed appearance.
More likely vintage / reproduction rather than antique - it's been in our family since at least the 1960s. It's in reasonably good condition overall. The gilt paint on the front of the shelf is in a nice, worn condition. However the top of the shelf isn't so good, with some traces of pale green paint and filler. The shelf top had some minor historic woodworm damage many years ago while stored in a garage - as a precaution I treated the wood and filled the holes a couple of years ago and no new holes have appeared.
Approximate dimensions - width 51 cm; depth 25 cm; height 37 cm.
Lightweight, approximate 0.9 kg.
Requires two screws and rawlplugs to attach to a wall.
